Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of
witness, let us lay aside every weight and sin which dot so easily beset us and
let us run with Patience the race that is set before us.
A adage says a Patient individual can milk a lioness. No matter how
challenging the tasks ahead of us, with Patience they shall be overcome. Anyone
that wants to enjoy God as a Treasurer must have this virtue. Many times, delayed
expectations train us enduring faithfulness which fashions a Godly character
that God Himself can be proud of.
Through faith, we are being justified and our peace is guaranteed with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ. Because through Him we have access by faith to
grace, wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the Glory of God. Not only this,
but glory in tribulations also knowing that it works Patience…. And Patience ……Experience…..and
Experience…..Hope.
Some characters that demonstrated Patience:
i.
Jacob: - He served Laban for fourteen years even though Laban played over
his intelligence. He was richly rewarded by God for his patience. Gen:31.1-18
ii.
David: - He was praised by all and sundry for his bravery in bringing down
Goliath. Bitter jealousy from King Saul made him wanted to kill David but God
did not allow him. David had ample chance to kill King Saul but refuted because
King Saul was anointed of God. When a King dies another must be crowned which
could have hasten David becoming a King. I Sam.24:1-22.
Some rewards of Patience:-
i.
Godly Character that facilitates peaceful living. By this Abraham was able
to identify angels
ii.
The promise of God for the patient comes to fulfillment
iii.
Those that are patient will inherit the kingdom of God.
